DINNER TIME

It is Dinner time in the mess hall ...Ribs were shipped in...and all the trimmings! Well a special Day ...it is Hawkeye's Birthday. a cake was shipped in from his fave. shop. Well ....it was a time to PIG OUT and enjoy the night away ..Lots of beer...lots of scotch..and a whole lot of partying... PARTY ON!

Hawkeye had no idea Margaret had anything planned for his birthday. It really wasn't a big deal to him anymore. But he was willing to accept anything she planned for him.

Margaret planned this big affair...and the meal was huge... She eyes him and says...dinner at the mess hall..birthday boy. Come on as she had a gift wrapped for him and she smiles. Getting his coat waiting for him to come with him.

Hawkeye just wasn't feeling up to speed on his special day. He just wasn't himself. He couldn't figure out why. "I appreciate the gesture, Margaret, but I'm not feeling up to par." he said.

She looks: Hawkeye...I planned this for a while... all the soldiers will be there...and you need to eat now come on....

Hawkeye didn't feel like playing games so he let himself out and stayed out in the cold, arms folded.

She looks: I PLANNED this party.... All the guys are there and the meat is cooking... And I planned this because I love you ...and I wanted it to be a surprise.... she looks. Now come and eat something...Please.

Hawkeye looked at Margaret. "Look, I'm gonna tell u something. Every time I eat, it just comes back up again. Now I'm not sure what is causing that but I'm hoping to get an answer soon. And before u ask, I'm not pregnant." he joked.

She nods...I know... here take this...as she gives him some gravol....and some medication to help his tummy. This should help your tummy so your food will settle.

Hawkeye nodded no. "No, Margaret. No medications please. That's the last thing I want. Aren't u gonna ask me how long this has been going on?" he asked.

She looks: How long Hawkeye? she worries now...

Hawkeye sighed deeply. "A week. I had just finished operating on Radar and something just didn't feel right u know? I thought it was just indigestion. Turns out it wasn't and quite frankly, I'm hoping to find out." he said.

She looks: Well please do find out...I worry...stroking his cheek and looking at him. Really... YOu need to. I don't want to lose you . That would be the saddest day of my life.

Hawkeye nodded. "I'll talk to Colonel Potter right now." he said.

She nods...Please do. I want you better ... I don't like seeing you sick.

Hawkeye reassured Margaret with a smile. "I'll be fine." he said.

She nods...I know...I know but still woman's intuition! u know?

Hawkeye nodded. "Yeah." he said as he made his way to Potter's office. "Colonel Potter, do u have a minute?" he asked.

He nods...A minute for what? as he sits at the edge of his desk..: What is it Hawkeye..?

Hawkeye sighed. "I haven't been myself lately. I haven't been feeling well for over a week now." he said.

He looks...sitting him on the cot...what have your symptoms been lately? he looks at him.

Hawkeye nervously told Colonel Potter. "Cold sweats, high fever, vomiting, u name it, I got it. What do u think it is?" he asked.

He looks and says... well i am gonna take some tests as he takes the blood. to do tests and checks his temp. and then goes to eyeing his temples. Ok. Well I suggest you keep warm! until we get this looked at.

Hawkeye nodded. "Now that u mention it, I think I'll go lay down for a few." he said.

he says: Never mind a FEW .... go home and you..have some time off.
